Tom Aspinall Has Had Enough Of Calling Out Jon Jones For A UFC Heavyweight Championship Unification Bout

Tom Aspinall is saying, "Hey, Jon Jones, let's settle this in the Octagon!" Tom, who's the Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion, is tired of all the talking on social media between him and Jon Jones. It's time to see who's the real champion!

Once Jon is back in shape for the Octagon, his main focus is defending his title against Stipe Miocic.

Tom thinks it's not okay. He thinks when Jones comes back, they should have a fight to decide who gets the title. So, he's been asking the injured champ to agree to this on social media, like Twitter, for several days.

In response to Aspinall constantly challenging him, Jon Jones hopped on X and said that the interim champ doesn't have enough experience to go up against him. He wrote

“Only four recognizable opponents, and already the king of England, must be nice. There will be legendary tales told about you and your infamous call outs.”

To this, Tom Aspinall responded –

“Jon you’re letting your ego run wild here mate. I’m not downplaying you’re résumé, it’s incredible. Far superior to mine. You are known as the best fighter ever, and that’s EXACTLY why I want to beat you. Surely you can understand that?”

Then, they had a long conversation where Jon Jones said that he already had a fight scheduled with Stipe Miocic before Tom Aspinall was even in the picture. Jon mentioned that Aspinall doesn't have enough experience to compete for the title. Aspinall responded by saying he won't bother Jones anymore, stating that Jones isn't interested in facing the interim champion.

“Forget all the other stuff about titles and résumé ect. I just think I can beat you in a fight mate, but if you don’t want to, I won’t keep chasing you,” wrote Tom Aspinall.

In the future, it's unlikely that they'll actually fight, but Tom Aspinall talking about it has set the stage for a potential big-money match between them later on. Read More:- Tom Aspinall Calls Out Jon Jones
